From a classic producer of electrical motors involved in the development of the electric motor since 1886, the combined company VEM has advanced to become a provider of systems and complete solutions. In its consolidated form the company supplies electrical drive equipment worldwide, comprising of transformers, frequency converters and power converters together with motors with performance ranging from 0.06 kW to 42 MW for low and medium voltage. In keeping with the established expertise of the company and the extensive experience of its employees, complex modernisation projects are increasingly being undertaken, for example in rolling mills and tube rolling mills. In addition to automation and drive technology, these also encompass the feeding in and distribution of energy.
